How Do I Get Started?

If you are brand new to IM=X Pilates & Fitness then we suggest you start with an Introductory Private Session or even a discounted series of privates before jumping into the group classes.  A discounted introductory session will familiarize you with our patented Xercizer (reformer) and other equipment. Your certified instructor will give you some awesome pointers on how to decompress your spine, exhale to recruit your abs and use your core muscles to perform any exercise.  These key fundamental techniques will help you create tremendous results.

Your certified IM=X instructor will guide you through a total-body workout - prepare to sweat!  Please wear comfortable workout attire and arrive early to fill out a brief form. Another great advantage to having a private session is the assistance you will receive while stretching and lengthening your posture -- i.e. if you need a boost to elongate the low back, your trainer will literally give you a lift!  After your workout, we can help you pick the membership plan that is best for your goals. IM=X Pilates Studios offer Private and Semi-Private Training Memberships and Packages so that you can receive the attention of a certified instructor in an intimate environment.

What Kind of Results Can I Achieve with an IM=X® Membership?

Our members who take 2-3 sessions per week report significant changes. They report increased strength, endurance, improved posture, decreased pain, loss of inches around the hips/waist and an overall body toning experience. The combination of strengthening, cardiovascular and lengthening exercises develops long, lean muscles, improves posture, increases metabolism and adds flexibility to the spine. IM=X Pilates changes body composition (muscle to fat ratio). It attacks excess bulk in the hips and thighs and tightens the body's core muscles for rock-hard abs. And, since IM=X targets the pelvic floor, it can prevent urinary incontinence (UI) and help with pregnancy. Join the hundreds of thousands of IM=X devotees who recognize that the quickest and most long-lasting results come from applying the secrets of IM=X!

"I had a fitness epiphany in a class called IM=X. Created by Elyse McNergney, M.Ed., M.A., IM=X stands for Integrated Movement Exercise…My legs shook because despite all my training…I broke a sweat and was thrilled to feel the lower part of my abs burn…The IM=X class passed my fitness test: I was sore and sweaty. But, more than that, the next morning my run seemed a little boring in comparison."
