A native of Memphis, TN, Emily is pleased to consider the Capital City home. Through her own struggles with scoliosis and low back pain, she discovered IM=X Pilates & Fitness, a boutique fitness studio offering Pilates reformer instruction, back wellness and personal training. "Pilates kept me moving without the impact, injury or pain." Amazed by the strengthening changes in her body and decreased low back pain, she decided to become a teacher and share the program's benefits with others. After completing her pilates certification, Emily acquired the Little Rock studio in 2016. "I consider IM=X Pilates & Fitness more than just clients and fitness - it's a community of friends and fellowship with a shared philosophy of well-being."
An Arkansas native, Melissa was born and raised in Conway. Melissa discovered the art of yoga while living in NYC. This sparked a passion for lifelong mind/body wellness. She received her 200-hour yoga Alliance certification from YogaWorks. Moving back home to Little Rock, she continued to teach yoga, discovering that some clients had limitations the “mat” could not support. This sparked her interest in Pilates, a form of exercise for everyone. She discovered IM=X Pilates (Integrated Movement Xercize) and went to NYC to study. Receiving her certification in 2008, she opened a pilates and fitness studio in Little Rock. In 2016, Melissa sold her business to another IM=X certified Instructor, Emily Allen. Melissa loves teaching Pilates and extremely grateful that she can continue to share this safe exercise program with clients of all levels.
Breezy Mulligan, originally from Jackson, WY, has been active all her life, growing up she was a competitive swimmer and sprinter. But in the off-season when she wasn't participating in sports she found herself always searching for different ways to stay in shape like-- skiing, kiteboarding, hiking and climbing. With a degree in Mass Communication from University of Colorado, Breezy works full-time as a Marketing professional and Retail Buyer. She loves teaching barre because it allows her to stay strong, while creating lean muscle-- that way when she gets back to the mountains she can still keep up with all her friends and family! She is currently certified in Balance Barre technique and group exercise. She enjoys helping clients improve their fitness practice so they can improve their posture and develop strength while avoiding injury. When not teaching classes at IM=X Pilates & Fitness you can find Breezy climbing Pinnacle or wake boarding at the lake!
Wendy originates from Murfreesboro, TN and has called Cabot her home for the last 8 years. She is a wife and mother of 5. In January 2015, Wendy participated in the Tracey Mallett’s BootyBarre Burn 60-day challenge, a complete at home program with a fitness and food. Wendy was at her lowest point being a frustrated 240 lbs, size 20 with no strength or endurance to get off the couch. Her devotion earned her winner’s status for the 60 day challenge, a certification training and an ambassador to Tracey Mallet. With proper food intake and fitness, Wendy has lost a total of 70 lbs and 60 total body inches. In July 2016, Wendy changed her 20-year career from behind the desk to teaching the BootyBarre program. Wendy believes in sharing the same program that helped her to be fit and strong and it has become her passion. She is in the process of receiving her mat Pilates certification.
Brandi grew up moving around, but spent a number of years in Fayetteville, Arkansas before settling into Little Rock in 2015. She has always been involved in outdoor activities and group workout classes, but wasn’t quite getting the results she wanted. After being enticed by her mother to try IM=X Pilates she found herself at the studio day after day, enjoying the variety of classes to choose from; reformer, mat Pilates, and barre. Brandi believes in the IM=X philosophy and wants to teach clients how to create postural awareness while simultaneously enabling clients to safely build lean muscle. Aside from Pilates, she is a licensed attorney, wannabe chef, and Shiba Inu enthusiast.
Shannon is an Arkansas native, and a wife and mother of two teenage boys. She was first introduced to pilates three years ago after suffering a traumatic foot fracture injury, leaving her in a cast for over 6 months, Frustrated and discouraged by her condition and prognosis, she came to pilates as a client in hopes of finding a workout and rehabilitation for her injury. Within weeks, doctors were astonished at the speed of her recovery, strength and range of motion. The emotional and physical benefits of pilates inspired Shannon to become an IM=X pilates certified instructor. She enjoys sharing her passion for pilates with clients and believes that this program is for anyone regardless of age, level of fitness, or physical injury.
Shannon is an Arkansas Native and has been passionate about health and wellness as long as she can remember. She has trained modified Crossfit classes for women and men in the past and has been searching for the right fit to get back in the teaching arena. After her first visit to IM=X Pilates she said she instantly knew that this was exactly what she had been searching for. As a Certified Holistic Health Coach, Shannon believes that physical exercise should feed your soul instead of just checking the workout box. She is in total alignment with the core fundamentals of IM=XPilates and wants to support others around their own health and wellness journey. Exercising should feel good, and IM=XPilates and TRX has exactly what she was looking for to add to her exercise repertoire. An exercise class that is gentle on the body yet so efficient in targeting the core, lengthening the spine and creating that muscle strength and endurance that we are all looking for. “I have found that most are searching for a variety of physical activity to prevent exercise boredom and I believe that IM=X Pilates Little Rock provides just that - a variety of classes that maintain the integrity of providing superior physical benefits.”
