Emily is a graduate from U of M and a long-time Ann Arbor-ite. Having worked as an RN in both the neuro and surgical intensive care units, Emily has worked with clients with a wide array of restrictions and disabilities, and loves the feeling of helping people reach their functional goals. As a Pilates instructor, she now has the opportunity to do that every day. An avid runner, Emily has long utilized Pilates to supplement her training, and loves that it can be tailored so as to be accessible and challenging to people of all fitness levels. Regardless of your athletic abilities, Emily will ensure you leave her classes feeling stronger, and importantly, like you can't wait to return!
Hannah is from Louisville, KY and a graduate from the University of Kentucky. She is new to Ann Arbor and MI. She is a Registered Dietitian that has always had a passion for wellness, fitness, and nutrition. Hannah has practiced Pilates, yoga, and barre for the last eight years. She also is a runner and has competed in half marathons and triathlons. She loves to work with people and help them to reach their health goals. Hannah will help you feel great and meet your health goals!
Patty has both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Exercise Physiology, and has been using her knowledge in exercise and physiology to coach gymnastics in Ann Arbor. Prior to coaching, she was a gymnast herself, and also has experience in dance, aerial silks, and weightlifting. Patty loves spending time outdoors whenever possible whether it is hiking, swimming, or relaxing in a hammock. Patty loves using her knowledge to help people reach their health and fitness goals, and also helping people use fitness as a way to focus and direct their life as a whole.
Georgie is a senior at the University of Michigan where she’s earning her B.S. in Movement Science with a minor in Intraoperative Neurophysiology. Aside from studying, Georgie spends most of her time exercising or with close friends. She’s a former member of UM’s Boxing Team with extensive boxing training as well as a competitive sand volleyball player, and has a passion for pilates, weightlifting and spinning. Aside from her love of exercise, Georgie is an adventure junkie with a love for the outdoors, and takes every opportunity she can to go skiing, boating, hiking, surfing (not well… still more of a work in progress) and scuba diving. After graduating from UM, Georgie plans to attend medical school to pursue a career in pediatric emergency medicine. While you can always count on her for a big smile, friendly hello, and cheesy movie quotes, you can also count on her for putting you through a phenomenal workout.
Robin is Emily’s mother, although she’s been mistaken for Emily’s sister on quite a few occasions. Robin was actually Emily’s inspiration for starting her own business in the first place, as she is a successful business owner, herself. Robin is also one of Emily’s primary motivators for living a healthy lifestyle, as Robin has always prioritized her health despite her busy schedule. She has dabbled in a little bit of everything fitness-wise, but pilates has always been her favorite workout. Robin spends as much of her free time as possible on her and her husband’s cottage on Mullet Lake, and loves being out on the boat. She also enjoys gardening, and recently obtained her Master Gardner certification. Robin is thrilled to share her love and enthusiasm for health and fitness with you, and wants to show you the amazing transformation this workout can have on your life and body no matter what your age.
Meet Jackie! Jackie will be teaching early morning bootybarre® classes, which we are thrilled to be bringing to Ann Arbor! Jackie took her first barre class only a couple years ago, but enjoyed it so much that she signed up to become an instructor on the spot! Jackie has always had a passion for fitness, starting with her first job at a yoga studio. In addition to yoga and barre, Jackie has also dabbled in aerial silks, acro yoga and pole fitness - and now, of course, Pilates. Jackie is a mom to a kindergartener and a preschooler, and recently became a new kitten mom, as well. In the little free time she has, she enjoys running, in addition to skiing and snowmobiling during the winter months. She also enjoys hiking, and particularly loved visiting the Red Rocks in Colorado this past summer. Jackie is thrilled to be a part of the IM=X team, and can’t wait to introduce you to bootybarre®!
